Garner Flames AAU and the Garner Athletic Association is a non-profit organization developed to provide a first class basketball education to young women in the state of North Carolina

Mission Statement:

"Our mission is to use basketball as a tool that will develop strong character, sound morals, and hard working young women and men. The Garner Athletic Association is dedicated to provide opportunities in which players of all levels have a chance to learn, grow, and develop physically, mentally, and socially on and off the basketball court."

Here is a brief moment of the GAA history:

The Garner Athletic Association (GAA) was formed in March of 1992 by Terry Haire. Under his guidance the Garner Flames Girls AAU Basketball Program was created. Mr. Haire's desire was to teach

fundamental basketball skills that included shooting, passing, defending, and rebounding while enhancing the the player's abilities. During his leadership and the array of talented coaching professionals, the Garner Flames have become one of the area's largest training and developmental organizations in the Triangle area.
